Beach Wheelchairs
The City of Cape May in conjunction with the Cape May Beach Patrol, provides inflatable-tire beach surf wheelchairs to our patrons with disabilities at no charge. These chairs are located in boxes along the beachfront, available for use between 10:00 AM and 4:30 PM. Reservations are not accepted, and there is no guarantee of availability due to the limited number of chairs. Please see a beach tagger (at the front of any beach entrance) for assistance in borrowing a chair. Borrowers must sign out chairs. Borrowers assume responsibility for chairs while under their use. Surf chairs must remain on the beach at all times. Surf chairs may be brought to the water’s edge but may not enter the water.
